What is SABS?

SABS (Saebi Alternative Building System) is a patented three layer composite building technology that combines EPS foam panels with a high strength concrete composite coating to create a single monolithic structural system. It replaces traditional framing, insulation, and exterior finishes with one integrated assembly, making construction simpler, safer, and more cost effective while providing strong structural performance and energy efficiency.

Instructions
To make this component work with other components you must:
  1. Add a background color to the section div above ↑ this Timeline section. This is will help hide the progress line overflow.
  2. Add z-index-2 class to the section div above ↑ this Timeline section. This will ensure the oveflowing progress line from the Timeline section below ↓ is hidden underneath it.
The Process

From Advanced Engineering to Monolithic Foam Structure, Built Stronger, Built Smarter

EPS Foam

Replaces lumber with precut foam panels arranged in a 4' × 8' grid that forms the structural framework for walls, floors, and roofs, eliminating the need for traditional wooden studs, insulation, and trusses.

SABSCRETE

A structural coating is applied to the foam panels and can also serve as the interior finish, reducing or eliminating the need for separate stucco, drywall, paint, and additional finishing labor.

Completed Product

Once interior finishing products are installed, the finished structure is visually indistinguishable from traditional construction.

Certification and Permit Approvals

Designed to Meet Code.
Approved to Build.

From the beginning, Dr. Nasser Saebi wanted to create a way to end homelessness throughout the world. That means making a product that could withstand the rigorous process of getting accredited and certified by various organizations.

SABS has withstood the rigorous testing and has proven its reliability in seismic-prone regions, hurricane-prone areas, and its compliance with strict structural integrity, fire-resistance, and energy efficiency standards.

Testimonial

We moved in last September 2021,” said Shirley and Tad Halladay of their new SABS home. “The average cost of an average stick house in southern Utah was around $267 square foot. This house cost me around $100 a square foot. So, it cost about $310,000 to build this 3,200 square foot house including the 1,008-square-foot garage. This is with 12-foot ceilings on the first floor and 10-foot on the second. After we were done the insurance agency appraised to replace it at $780,000. Not bad. - Tad Halladay (SABS Homeowner Builder)
